Anw, yesterday 12 left the home .. Reach PS then called Liyun, she was already with the guys.. Then we meet, then they say wanna buy yoghurt? LOL, so healthy ! LMAO. Then walked to Mind Cafe.. Meet Esther on the way and contnue walking.. When we reach there, it is not even open. LOL ! then we wait downstairs. then the guys keep looking at the LAN downstairs.

When we finally got up, we play Taboo. Halfway, SHERONICA FINALLY CAME ! lols ! when play with her very funny ! we laugh like crazy. Then play some more then around 5 left the place. We went to cathy see movie, then dont want. Then went to PS. While crossing the road, Easther was like " eh, dont get into accident, later nixi come after me! " i heck care. LOL. Now left esther, liyun and me. Went to arcard, then we saw a basketball king. LOL. Then we exchange for some coins and play the box thingy..I NOOB LA. lol, then liyun turn to exchange coin then we play basketball ! FIRST TIME I GET MORE THAN 200 !!! OMG. but we got 300+ yippie !

Went to watch G-force. Typical storyline. But damn cute. play the Dance Dance Revolution with Lady Gaga song, Use facebook talk about guys. Then Boom Boom Pow ! And JUMP ! lols ! cute. then went home. :D

Okay, today was normal.. Like geography, i will pass, chem i passed. I still thought i'd fail. Okay, this blogger is seriously spoilt. Today is not boring,but bad.
2 reasons, all related to engish.

1. Mr. Ng didnt tell us that there was oing to be a comprehension test today which is counted in CA. wth. Cannot like that what, even if comprehension is like everytime we do one... Then never go thruogh the technique also..

2. English Oral. Ours is damn hard, and yes, i REALLY MEANT damn hard. it is like, the passage i got 2 word which i dunnoe what on earth it is and theconversation is talking about FASHION. wth, cannot do it. FASHION leh. maybe for Anzoe it is okay, but for me it is like something which totally have nothing to talk about lor. Sad sad, D: sobsob.

It was sme touching moments, again. It happend during the time when 2-8 is not around. It was left with us and Ms tan, Ms tan and us. alone. Today was boring. Esp during chinese, i was so damn fck-ed up by the teacher. I CANNOT STAND HER ANYMORE. then she was like "如果你们这次的听写作的不好的话，我就会算在你们的CA3 里。" (Translation: If you guys do not do well in the spelling this time, iw ill consider it as in one of your CA3 marks.) I mean, what is this. I thought usually teacher would say, or rather SHOULD say. "如果你们这次的听写不好的话，我不会算在CA3里" (Translation: If you guys did not do well in this spelling, i will not count it in CA3.) She say lke that like want as to fail chinese. And she is super damn unfair. DARN, THE MORE I TYPE, THE ANGRIER I GET. !!! forget it. think about the good. Ms Dong, she say i look nicer. Had school then went home. I went to Sengkang's Jean Yip to do rebond :D whee ! FINALLY. Then rushed to Cell group then meet NIxi at Hougang bus stop. then went together. Pray until around 10. Then went home.

Saturday:
woke up then slacked, did nothing much. Then went to fetch my mother and then went to church. Ate subway cookie <33 Aw man, im starting to love it ! Then had service, some part understand and some part didnt. :x then sit beside wanxn she and anvis talk so loud -.- LOL. then went to fellowship at T3. But on the way there while we walking to the bus stop it rained ! wear my jacket. (it came in handy) and then walk.. then i didnt know adrina and anzoe behind me then suddenly they come up and shelter me with umbrella (: Very nice. then rushed to the bus stop. Then called Jang then prank with her. say we got too many toys, forgot take trolly, so need her take trolly. but actually it is the third trolly ! hahas ! then we suprised her, me and vienna keep laughing. Then presented her birthday cake, which is my maple syrup. HAHAHAS ! SHE WAS LAUGHING LIKE !! LMAO! then Andrea got lost so we decided to split. Me and Jang took one cab to tampines one to fetch her then go school while vienna and niki take cab straight to school. Then realised that no pinafoe = no school . The old woman sat in the backseat of the magenta

convertible as it careened down the highway, clutching

tightly to the plastic bag on her lap, afraid it may

be kidnapped by the wind. She was not used to such

speed, with trembling hands she pulled the seatbelt

tighter but was careful not to touch the patent

leather seats with her callused fingers, her daughter

had warned her not to dirty it, 'Fingerprints show

very clearly on white, Ma.'

Her daughter, Bee Choo, was driving and talking on her

sleek silver mobile phone using big words the old

woman could barely understand. 'Finance''Liquidation'

'Assets' 'Investments'... Her voice was

crisp and important and had an unfamiliar lilt to it. Her Bee

Choo sounded like one of those foreign girls on

television. She was speaking in an American accent.

The old lady clucked her tongue in disapproval.

'I absolutely cannot have this. We have to sell!'

Her daughter exclaimed agitatedly as she stepped on the

accelerator; her perfectly manicured fingernails gripping onto the steering

wheel in irritation.

'I can't DEAL with this anymore!' she yelled as

she clicked the phone shut and hurled it angrily toward

the backseat. The mobile phone hit the old woman on the forehead and

nestled soundlessly into her lap. She calmly picked it

up and handed it to her daughter.

'Sorry, Ma,' she said, losing the American pretence

and switching to Mandarin. 'I have a big client in

America . There have been a lot of problems.'

The old lady nodded knowingly. Her daughter was big

and important.

Bee Choo stared at her mother from the rear view

window, wondering what she was thinking. Her mother's

wrinkled countenance always carried the same cryptic

look.

The phone began to ring again, an artificially

cheerful digital tune, which broke the awkward

silence.

'Hello, Beatrice! Yes, this is Elaine.' Elaine. The

old woman cringed. I didn't name her Elaine. She

remembered her daughter telling her, how an English

name was very important for 'networking', Chinese

ones being easily forgotten.

'Oh no, I can't see you for lunch today. I have to

take the ancient relic to the temple for her weird

daily prayer ritual.'

Ancient Relic. The old woman understood perfectly it

was referring to her. Her daughter always assumed that

her mother's silence meant she did not comprehend.

'Yes, I know! My car seats will be reeking of joss

sticks!'

The old woman pursed her lips tightly, her hands

gripping her plastic bag in defence.

The car curved smoothly into the temple courtyard. It

looked almost garish next to the dull sheen of the

ageing temple's roof. The old woman got out of the

back seat, and made her unhurried way to the main

hall.

Her daughter stepped out of the car in her business

suit and stilettos and reapplied her lipstick as she

made her brisk way to her mother's side.

'Ma, I'll wait outside. I have an important phone

call to make,' she said, not bothering to hide her disgust

at the pungent fumes of incense.

The old lady hobbled into the temple hall and lit a

joss stick, she knelt down solemnly and whispered her

now familiar daily prayer to the Gods.

Thank you God of the Sky, you have given my daughter

luck all these years. Everything I prayed for, you

have given her. She has everything a young woman in

this world could possibly want. She has a big house

with a swimming pool, a maid to help her, as she is

too clumsy to sew or cook.

Her love life has been blessed; she is engaged to a

rich and handsome angmoh man. Her company is now the

top financial firm and even men listen to what she

says. She lives the perfect life. You have given her

everything except happiness. I ask that the gods be

merciful to her even if she has lost her roots while

reaping the harvest of success.

What you see is not true, she is a filial daughter to

me. She gives me a room in her big house and provides

well for me. She is rude to me only because I affect

her happiness. A young woman does not want to be

hindered by her old mother. It is my fault.

The old lady prayed so hard that tears welled up in

her eyes. Finally, with her head bowed in reverence

she planted the half-burnt joss stick into an urn of

smouldering ashes.

She bowed once more.

The old woman had been praying for her daughter for

thirty-two years. When her stomach was round like a

melon, she came to the temple and prayed that it was a

son.

Then the time was ripe and the baby slipped out of her

womb, bawling and adorable with fat thighs and pink

cheeks, but unmistakably, a girl. Her husband had

icked and punched her for producing a useless baby

who could not work or carry the family name.

Still, the woman returned to the temple with her

new-born girl tied to her waist in a sarong and prayed

that her daughter would grow up and have everything

she ever wanted. Her husband left her and she prayed

that her daughter would never have to depend on a man.

She prayed every day that her daughter would be a

great woman, the woman that she, meek and uneducated,

could never become. A woman with nengkan; the ability

to do anything she set her mind to. A woman who

commanded respect in the hearts of men. When she

opened her mouth to speak, precious pearls would fall

out and men would listen.

She will not be like me, the woman prayed as she

watched her daughter grow up and drift away from her,

speaking a language she scarcely understood. She

watched her daughter transform from a quiet girl, to

one who openly defied her, calling her laotu;

old-fashioned.. She wanted her mother to be

'modern', a word so new there was no Chinese word for it.

Now her daughter was too clever for her and the old

woman wondered why she had prayed like that. The gods

had been faithful to her persistent prayer, but the

wealth and success that poured forth so richly had

buried the girl's roots and now she stood, faceless,

Power, Wealth, access to the best fashion boutiques,

and yet her daughter had not found true happiness. The

old woman knew that you could find happiness with much

less. When her daughter left the earth everything she

had would count for nothing. People would look to her

legacy and say that she was a great woman, but she

would be forgotten once the wind blows over, like the

ashes of burnt paper convertibles and mansions.

The old woman wished she could go back and erase all

her big hopes and prayers for her daughter; now she

had only one want: That her daughter be happy. She

looked out of the temple gate. She saw her daughter

speaking on the phone, her brow furrowed with anger

and worry. Being at the top is not good, the woman

thought, there is only one way to go from there -

down.

The old woman carefully unfolded the plastic bag and

spread out a packet of beehoon in front of the altar.

Her daughter often mocked her for worshipping

porcelain Gods. How could she pray to them so

faithfully and expect pieces of ceramic to fly to her

aid? But her daughter had her own gods too, idols of

wealth, success and power that she was enslaved to and

worshipped every day of her life.

Every day was a quest for the idols, and the idols she

worshipped counted for nothing in eternity. All the wants her daughter

had would slowly suck the life out of her and leave her, an empty

soulless shell at the altar.

The old lady watched her joss tick. The dull heat had

left a teetering grey stem that was on the danger of

collapsing.

Modern woman nowadays, the old lady sighed in

resignation, as she bowed to the east one final time

to end her ritual. Modern woman nowadays want so much

that they lose their souls and wonder why they cannot

find it.

Her joss stick disintegrated into a soft grey powder.

She met her daughter outside the temple, the same look

of worry and frustration was etched on her daughter's

face. An empty expression, as if she was ploughing

through the soil of her wants looking for the one

thing that would sow the seeds of happiness.

They climbed into the convertible in silence and her

daughter drove along the highway, this time not as

fast as she had done before.

'Ma,' Bee Choo finally said. 'I don't know

how to put

this. Mark and I have been talking about it and we

plan to move out of the big house. The property market

is good now, and we managed to get a buyer willing to

pay seven million for it. We decided we'd prefer a

cosier penthouse apartment instead. We found a perfect

one in Orchard Road . Once we move in to our apartment

we plan to get rid of the maid, so we can have more

space to ourselves...'

The old woman nodded knowingly.

Bee Choo swallowed hard. 'We'd get someone to come

in to do the housework and we can eat out - but once the

maid is gone, there won't be anyone to look after you.

You will be awfully lonely at home and, besides that,

the apartment is rather small. There won't be space.

We thought about it for a long time, and we decided

the best thing for you is if you moved to a Home.

There's one near Hougang - it's a Christian home, a

very nice one.'

The old woman did not raise an eyebrow. 'I've been

there, the matron is willing to take you in. It's

beautiful with gardens and lots of old people to keep

you company! I hardly have time for you, you'd be

happier there.'

'You'd be happier there, really.' Her daughter

repeated as if to affirm herself.

This time the old woman had no plastic bag of food

offerings to cling tightly to; she bit her lip and

fastened her seat belt, as if it would protect her

from a daughter who did not want her anymore. She sunk

deep into the leather seat, letting her shoulders sag,

and her fingers trace the white seat.

'Ma?' her daughter asked, searching the rear view

window for her mother.. 'Is everything okay?'

What had to be done, had to be done. 'Yes,' she said

firmly, louder than she intended, 'if it will make you

happy,' she added more quietly.

'It's for you, Ma! You'll be happier there. You

can move there tomorrow, I already got the maid to pack

your things.' Elaine said triumphantly, mentally

ticking yet another item off her agenda.

'I knew everything would be fine.'

Elaine smiled widely; she felt liberated. Perhaps

getting rid of her mother would make her happier. She

had thought about it. It seemed the only hindrance in

her pursuit of happiness. She was happy now. She had

everything a modern woman ever wanted; Money, Status,

Career, Love,Power and now, Freedom, without her

mother and her old-fashioned ways to weigh her down...

Yes, she was free. Her phone buzzed urgently, she

picked it up and read the message, still beaming from

ear to ear. 'Stocks 10% increase!'

Yes, things were definitely beginning to look up for

her...

And while searching for the meaning of life in the

luminance of her hand phone screen, the old woman in

the backseat became invisible, and she did not see the

tears.

我也不是在说家人是百分之百的完美，每一个人都有缺陷(xian4)没有人是完美的。我这次这样说不是在针对什么人。我只是想说，朋友或情人不是你的全部，不管你的家庭多破裂，他们才是真正会对你负责和爱你的。

Today was fun, seriously fun and laughed alot.

this morning cannot sleep, so woke up damn early. Went to eat then come up realised i was late, so rushed down to Serangoon MRT meet Edith and then mrt-ed down to dhoby, then meet Jang and andrea. then we walked and laughed alot, got the beanbag and the aunty like damn happy. haha. then mrt-ed down to City hall, shop @ Marina Square and Suntec then bus-ed down to Lavender MRT and then mrt-ed down to PasirRis.. then bus-ed to Ikea, tampines one. WASTE MY EZ-LINK MONEY ! ahhh , sadsad. lol, then we like play at Ikea lor. Then we talk about her and her name. LOLS :x wth.

Tomorrow's gonna be even better, DANCE DANCE ! CHIONG ARRR ! hahaa, asking linda along. hope she follows .

There's a uncle cooking "Cai Tao Kueh" supposedly with his wife, but when I took the picture. I dunnoe where the wife gone. But he's alrd in his old 60s and going to 70. Yet he's cooking "Cai Tao Kueh" very happily and steadily. I'm impressed. He cooks nice, delicious "Cai Tao Kueh" and it's cheap too. Found at Kallang Bahru. I happend to see this scene and like I really felt something that can only use Happiness to describe.

I'm sick. Flu flu, H1N1. Hahass.

yesterday was a busy day, woke up in th morning then went to parkway alrd, supposedly meet Melissa at the bus stop but in the end we sort of met at the Mac.. in the end, still went bus stop. Then Qi Yu came :D then we were waiting for Jerlyn and Charmaine from 2-1. but they didnt appear.. so we left, lol. then we got into the room in touch centre.. Ms Gan and few other Pl people were alrd there. I remember i was shocked to see JASMINE ! hahaha ! she was shocked too . Then we play some game.. then we set off !

Our journey:
we planned to go east coast ! yeah, we walked there. then to macs. Completed the task and walked back, then we decided to go to Katong first. and had DURIAN PUFF !! argh, Yoke Yeong keep forcing me to eat then i got no choice, have to eat luh. Then next, the nyonya kueh, abit not so good. the next is one of the best, KATONG LAKSA !! wheee ! we were asked to complete it in like 2 mins, 7 people, 3 bowls, 2 mins. HAH ! then we to eat chicken rice, it was great too ! the next is XIAO LONG PAU !! I WANTTT ! 小笼包 ! omg, hahahaas . then had some kind of jasmine green ta then went back. walked very long leh. then when we enter the room, MORE FOOD ! Ms Gan & Melissa prepared more food for us. hahaha, got chips, fruits, oh ya, the grapes were sweet. then drinks, lol. Then prize presentation, everyone got something, i got something pathetic, i dont mean the prize, the the name of the prize. lol. then have card writing for everyone. and photographs too :D will upload on tues or wed.

Went to the fun fair, sort of got lost. lol, cos didnt go with e rest, i went first then asked for directions. finally got there, was so boring so played a few games then off i went. was late for serving, obviously. but service was great ! the hip hoppers ! WHOO ! haha. then ded recycling then went home.

It's a good thing, last day of school. We just slacked. Clique and I went for recess then go to library to play monopoly for like almost 2 hrs. LOLS :/ then i remember all vk knows how to say is "my house" .. hahaaa, then went back to classroom, reliased that mrs teo was thr, and some kind souls took out my bag and stuff for me :D yeah, they're kind. then we stayed in class, teacher talk talk talk, and we nothing to do we just sing, sing, sing. LOLS :/ we sang the theme song. of this year. haha, quite retard. But we weren't the worst, bao qing tian they all were singing CHINESE NEW YEAR SONG?!?! lols :/ and NATIONAL DAY SONG??!?! haha . then we went assembly, principle talk talk talk. then she pray .. wah damn long. hahaa !

Then had presentation :/ was quite smooth, except my phone rang in the middle of the presentation and it was vibrating.. lols ! then vienna was like "eh jiamei, i think your phone ringing" i look at the table then i say "no, i thought my phone don't have vibration? " then nvm, we both dun care, when we go back, really my phone did rang.

Today did alot of filing yes, and then it was very irritating to keep doing filing. And soon I almost gave up on it, because i dodnt have my worksheets with me. and it is really really serious irritating

Service learning:
Do many things, like presentation. LOL. then laughed alot with Jang, she love to laugh, which influenced me. lol, if only some people can learn how to forgive and let things go and takes things easily, the world would be a brighter place.

Sunday:
Wa susppose to go church, but instead, i watch the service online. HA! then went to jurong IMM with mommy jq and uncle. then eat lols, i wanted fish & co. but in the end didnt go. Went subway.. was damn empty lahhh. then like got so many lost child :x like wth.

Today:
Lessons were boring, started to ga jiao anvis since morning.. and msg many other people too. like clarence. LOLS :/ then msg whole day, and the best thing - physics oly 1 period (: woohoo ! then teacher release us early, which is good. went to just acia with linda and vk and anvis. LOL.. then do horrible stuff to anvis :D play alot of games at arcade too , duper fun !

You cannot blame me for so easily forgetting something bad that happened. I've been used to this. I'm good at it, I've been acting all the way. I'm happy, yes I am. Today, was interesting... VERY INTERESTING. lols. Okay, i passed my chinese. haha

During assembly, Mrs Teo was like "i wished to become gymnast (i dunnoe how to spell" LOL, i was laughing my head off. not insulting her or what, but very helarious, she alrd 38 years old :/

Then went back, had chinese, very boring. then had recess then homec which only took 1 period then had 2 period of homec free and one period of PE free (: i played table tennis, with vienna, again. then more people joined, eunice, down, dilys, andrea, joelynn, edith, charmaine. LOL. then the funny thing happend. I was bored so went back play piano, then this person who always relieve for Mr Pang she come say "girl you play very well.. " then i was shocked and like huh?? LOL ! then ran up for math, Ms Gan very funny also :x yeah, then lit Ms Dong didnt come (: free period, and then had re-test.

I passed everything, in a single round. how fun.

Anw, today was fun. DUPER FUN! I passed my geog. Then the funny thing started during chapel, Tessa Tan came she took a chair from 2 rows infront of me. Then i thought she gonna sit beside denise. But she come sit beside me, lol. Then we laugh. Then got this part, talking about what and who God is. Then got the picture of an Ape. lol. Then next slide that time she suddenly said to me "i still dont understand why is God a gorilla(ape) " LOL, then i laugh like freaking loud. she giggled also. Then went back, had some time to "clear up" classroom before teacher came in, but teacher never came. Hahahaa.. Then some fucking asshole took my english composition paper! now cannot find out my mark, shit her la ! I don't mean teacher.

Saturday:
Went sentosa, had a great time with Anvis. Made many many SAND BOMBS ! yeah. then went to serve, quite yucky. LOLS ! then went fellowship too. Very fun, had subway. BEST BEST ! but too sad Linda dunnoe how to appreciate the works of wonderful foods. Hahahaa ! Then took mrt home, and somehow, Nixi caught up with us. Dunnoe how. then saw her sister and her sis boyf outside. WENT HOME:D

Sunday:
quite tired, so woke up quite late. did homework. Then slack. Then went dance, was nice. but tricky. Then ate Mac. Saw Remus. Then walked to Sengkang, without stopping, how nice. then shopped then went home.

Monday:
Went school, was on time. then have english, Ms Ana say wont be teaching us, will be leaving. HOW SAD ! again, change teacher. i wish can change chinese teacher luh, not english.

Was watching "My School Daze" yesterday, aka 书包太重。

The thing they say about the students is really true and correct. It reflects 3 sides of the school, the student/teacher/parents. I agree when that guy teacher (I forgot what's his name, he now teaching tuition, previously school teacher) 他说的话真的是我们学生想的，他说 “我不喜欢在零时换老师，因为老师和学生的感情是要时间来培养的，如果在这样短的时间换老师的话，会影响到学生。”

我真的觉得这句话真的是我心里面正在想的。我们，当学生的也是不是很喜欢一直换老师，我自己也是觉得对我的影响很大。例如华文来说，自从谢老师离开之后我认识的她的学生都不喜欢华文课了。我就是一个很好的例子。现在就是很讨厌华文！！！我是在说老师，不是科目。

Today woke up, thought that there is not hope of me going beach today alrd, but miracle happend ! SUN CAME OUT AGAIN ! and yay, i can go play today.

Went to east coast, had macs before starting out. I went on roller skates. Was at first unstable but after that, it WAS OKAY ! then the rest cycle, except for mommy and uncle. they walk. and i hold on to them .. yah, pathetic i know. I'm not very good at skates but still can pass luh . Then in the end, i end up playing in the sea and sand. HOW NICE !

Once again getting my feet soacked in sea water, the feeling is cool . and i dug a deep hole . which end up collasped . very sad, i know . BUT IT WAS STILL FUN! went home, bathed then DANCE TIME.

And then i went to AVCC then went mac, again. saw char, van, yl . LOL , then i buy drink D: not for them uh . Then dance, learn the FREE FALL SONG !!! YAYYYY ! VERY NICE. almost ended up on my butt :P hee, but i didnt.
